True Delights Poem by Poetic Judy Emery

True Delights

TRUE DELIGHTS

Oh, how true are the delights of you,
I truly dread to ever lose,
I watch the moon shine so bright
the beauty of it almost made me cry,
I held on to your every word
I kept them so close to my bosom
while my own tears flowed,
the world spun throughout the night
while I gazed away in true love of you,
each day I embrace your love,
You my God are so special to me
You set my spirit at easy,
You are my true eternal love
Oh, how I get visions of all things
that you want me to see,
at times, I feel you so close to me
But then I could feel you slipping way
So, far away from me,
that's when I feel my heart breaks
my body starts to ache
because I lost my faith,
somehow, I lost my way,
forever my spirit could find you
it could almost touch you.
But then in just a moment you wore gone
Faded away like an old sad song.
I prayed and prayed until my heart did fluttered
To your words again;
I glimpsed at the true prophecy
that is written down before me in true beauty,
my spirit hungers to be with you
just in that moment I felt you in my soul
just to let me know you haven't letting me go.
