True Love Poem by Kebe Iwara

True Love

Rating: 1.0

None is a better
actor than truth.
So though they say
that some ingenuous
souls con even the
brightest hearts,
none is a better
actor than truth.

There are things
that sink into the quotient of the soul:
so once i have seen
you gasp, uncensored
at my faltering steps,
and it pleased my
pensive hour, how
bound your breath
was to my welfare.
None is a better
actor than truth.

I remember you
deflect when i
spoke of pain
and i was pleased
that your recess was
bent to make me attain
what i couldn't- by
your care.
None is a better
actor than truth.

So though they say
some ingenuous souls
con even the
brightest hearts,
none is a better
actor than truth
