True Love's Curse Poem by Anna Shea Cutrone

True Love's Curse

You were the first person
I've ever
Fallen in love with
The first person I
Have given everything to

Do not be mistaken
Baby
I don't love you anymore
I just haven't found love
Since you left me behind

It makes me wonder
If you've cursed me
To never love again
To never feel
How you made me feel
To never be truly satisfied again

Love is a spiritual experience that affects one profoundly - a voyage of pure bliss. However, it's also whimsical and temperamental, appearing unannounced and may leave without warning if it's not carefully nurtured at all times to maintain its bliss. Beautiful poem, well articulated and nicely brought forth from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Anna.
