True Soul Believer Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

How does an individual
decide within their mind,
what path of thought
to flow through life on,
in these days and times?

Which way,
is one to will the soul to walk;
in a way of righteousness,
or in pursuit of life goals
not solely built, upon the wisdom felt
within one's soul,
in their quests and acts,
or in each personal decision
made in this lifetime?

What for an eternity,
would last, and inter within
the bounds of brotherhood in all men,
to bring change,
in the dark and soulless state
of humankind's goodwill and minds,
for death through war instead of life;
therefore, allowing the belief
in the giving and living ways of creation's gifts,
and life's promised glory?

When will the vision be seen,
within the minds of men;
of growth in their spirits
borne young in the age of time,
to move away from deceit,
and hateful thoughts and ways
which defeat the purpose,
of life upon this earth?

Belief then,
in the soul of togetherness
is the key,
to that universal purpose bright,
which promises the end of strife,
between all living things;
and gathering humankind,
into a single mind,
of a true soul believer.
