TRUST

Trust is what you feel,
That is what they tell me.
Without trust you have nothing
Believe me I’ve felt empty.

I gave someone a chance,
And opened up my heart.
Words are just words for you,
As each word becomes a lie
You don’t realize you are tearing me apart.

When you say something,
Why can’t you mean it?
Why say something for nothing,
What for don’t you also have a heart?

Trust they say is bigger than love
For me without trust
There is nothing left above.
Sorry you see
For that is how God made me.

How can you look right into my eyes?
Expressing such words with sincerity
At the same time still repeating
The same lies.

You say I accuse you,
And that makes you feel bad.
I still hear you talking
Oh how it makes me feel sad.

One day you will see,
One day you will feel,
What you did to me.
Is something so unreal?

They say what goes around comes around.
And that is so true
For I can not wait for that day,
It will all come back to you.

That day you will remember
All you put me through,
Your lies and all you made me believe
Will all come back to you.

When that day comes
You will see
The same feeling you gave me.

Similar look, similar smile
Smooth talking words,
Certain charm coming from a liar.

Only then you will know
How it made me feel
For since I have known you
I lost faith in all that is real.

I have to learn to trust again
And that is all because of you.
I have hope though.
For this time I will make sure
I don’t meet a fool like you.

The sun will shine
The rain will still fall
The flowers in spring will bloom
And I too will walk tall.

And I will heal.
As time will go by
Knowing the truth
You were never real.
