Wake Me Up - Poem by Mia Valenti

I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
A girl i used to know
Full of confidence she used to be.

She was happy before she met you.
That is what she always thought
And yes its true.

I look in the mirror
And what do i see?
A girl who went from the city
To your country.

You took me away
From all that i knew
Your manipulation and charm
Worked good just for you.

You used and abused me.
And made me your slave
Days were long
Nights i wished i was
Six feet under a grave.

Your moods and personality
Something so strange.
You throw in my face
Girls want you
I think they too are deranged
If they want you.

I've become friends with someone you knew
Someone who you did the same things
You put me through.

Your children think she is nothing
For that is what you made them beleive
For she is something more than you
A person just like me.

I look in the mirror
And what do i see?
Some special and wonderful
Whose realized
You have become no one to me.

I look in the mirror
And what do i see?
Finally the girl i used to be.
That girl is Me.
