Truth Poem by jan fuentez

Truth

I feel disgusted at the workplace
So annoyed of my colleagues talking
I never thought they would say
Things that were unproven, untrue
For an innocent creature, a neophyte on the line
Who is eagerly trying
To be gracious and friendly
To be affable to almost everybody
We’re just having fun, enjoying each moment
Bonding like siblings, just for a while
'Cause we seldom have the time to do it
And yet there are stories, mere stories
Albeit it's not me their pointing
Find it strange to notice
Fabricated, totally irrelevant, very disgusting
Seemingly loathsome, simply irritating
Ah, they are not worth even a single moment of despair
'Cause the truth will always set us free
