Truth In Words - Poem by Ryan Waldron
I hate to write this I really do,
but I'm scared to death because how I feel about you.
I have trust issues and I've told you its true,
but seeing your smile makes me believe in you!
I can't sleep because you're not home,
I never told you goodnight over the phone.
Your voice is what I'm missing tonight,
So with this poem I'll tell you goodnight.
I miss you already though it hasn't been long,
Only a few hours ago is when you had gone.
You headed back to your home as I did mine,
Now I wish I had been able to take off some time.
One day you'll know just how much you amaze me,
but for right now you'd probably just think I'm crazy.
As you continue your drive home you'll think of me maybe?
Wishing I could have told you 'goodnight baby'
