'Truth or Dare'
My dear, all this time,
I only wanted you to be true with me.
If I ask you—truth or dare?
I know you would choose truth,
because it feels safe,
because it sounds noble,
because you believe it will set us free.
But this time, I want you to choose dare.
Because truth is not always kind,
not always gentle,
not always what we wish to hear.
Sometimes, truth is the weight we deny,
the mirror we turn away from,
the wound we refuse to touch.
Dare to face what truth reveals.
Dare to stand in its light,
even when it blinds you,
even when it burns.
Dare to accept that not all truths are soft,
that some cut deeper than lies ever could.
If you love me, don't just whisper honesty—
show me you can carry it.
Dare to stay when the truth is heavy.
Dare to hold my hand when it trembles.
Dare to love me,
even when the truth is hard to bear.
