Truth Seeker Poem by Mai Hastings

Truth Seeker

Deep down inside of me,
There she lay bright as can be,
Her innocence and fragile body,
Tricks everyone around her.

The heat swims inside me,
As she awakens to a new world,
Only to destroy the beauty
in ones she loves and hates.

Brightness! Brightness! oh so bright,
Her sun kissed gold hair,
That look like gold tear drops
shining in the morning sun.

Her cherry, sweet lips,
Speak words with an angels voice,
But with eyes ice cold
and as clear as the blue sky,
That can hypnotize people with a stare.

Only the fools go crazy for her,
Only the dreamers long for her,
Only the loners dream to be her,
But only a truth seeker see's
beyond her beauty.
