Tsunami Of Changes Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Tsunami Of Changes

Tsunami of changes

In sixties
-I was an air cadet in US
-and things were different.

Then, talk was Vietnam
-as well as Civil Rights.

Many were slogans
-revolt were in the songs
-against the war and might.

Bob Dylan, Joan Baez
-Hendrix and many more;
-of Beatles' John Lennon.

Oh, it was different
-still feel what felt then:
- (Open heart, bring change;
-add to love, kill the hate.)

Then, girls were divided
-some were dolls, led cheers
-some wore jeans, left dress
-some enjoyed dad's spank
-some called it an insult:
- "Treat me equal."

The words too, were on race
-to leave books, or enter
-some listed "No, No, No,
-Obsolete, abandoned…"
-some joined a suffix or prefix…

The "N" showed two words as
-the "Nigger" and "Negro"
- (One insult by the White
-another, Black in Spanish;
- using "N" for both, is extreme.

Great was time for us, single guys
-we warmed the beds of those in fronts…
