Tulips Of Skagit Valley Poem by Natarajan Ramaseshan

Tulips Of Skagit Valley

Rows of rainbows, saw I with mirth
Not on the sky, but on this earth.
Bow on sky boasts of colours seven
Show on earth has all hues of heaven.
Pink and purple, reddish delight,
Radiant yellow, gives out sunlight,
Misty, milky white holds its sway,
Orange bright has its field day.
Deep and dull shades of different colours,
Dark and light bulbs of tulip flowers,
Mixed blends, modern trends, very rare.
Suffice to say, 'It's God's own fair '
Tulips gardens of skagit valley
Will linger ever in Mind's alley.
But now they,
Bloom in dream in my room in hotel-
And make me sleepless in Seattle!
