Tumbleweed Poem by Brijaal Dana

Tumbleweed

As if a tumbleweed that blows around,
I’m in constant search of, and want to be found.
Am not sitting back just waiting for it to happen,
At times makes me wonder what I am lacking.

Contentment, love and happiness, we all want some,
Awaiting the moment that I finally find that one.
So I ask myself am I being too aggressive and should I sit back,
Or will it find me when I am not really expecting that.

No one wants to grow old and lonely, as these are my worries,
I mean to the point of bad dreams that come in flurries.
As I try to stay strong regardless of these fears,
Just want to settle down for the rest of my years.

Maybe one day this will all come to an end,
As I find my lover, soul mate and my best friend.
Hoping to find that one I truly do need,
So as not to feel like that old tumbleweed.
