Tumbling Poem by Monica Lanier

Tumbling

Tumbling beneath the wings of destruction
I vow to let nothing, break my grind
I am gone shine, blow your mind
Accelerate before I decline
Activate instead of recline
I am gone climb, climb, and climb
Busting consanents and vowels as a rhyme
Erupting explosively because it's my time
Bringing more worth than a dime
I will go toe to toe and pound to pound
Extending to elements that are in the lost and found
Bending to pick up pieces that has fallen to the ground
With a profound one of a kind sound
Like the underground boogie down flow
Jarring your thoughts like the Poe Poe
Making you question who you is, and what you know
For sho, so let me rewind and bring it back slow
We don't have to enter into a back door
But we still have a long long way to go
Let's come together and build like Legos
Pick out our faults like naps in a Afro
And resonate like a light that glow
