Turning Point Poem by Ruerd Visser

Turning Point

In my lifetime i remember the days
whereas i viewed only few as my friends.
Viewing manymore as foes
with the rest viewed as unwitting strangers.
And i said i loved my friends,
feared my foes.
Restraining myself from the presence
of perfect strangers.
Until i heared the voice of god
resonate inside of me:
I have sent you only angels!
hard as it may seem at first,
i remembered my angelic self.
Being an angel without wings.
Seeing a glimpse of the angelic self,
every time i look into mine and others
heart and soul.
I emerged from a dark world,
begotten to shine a light
forevermore.
Regaining a sense of wonder and awe
toward all those that cross my path.
Whatelse could be real and true,
as the great divine longing
to be uncovered as an celestial being?
That once chose to leave the heavens
taking human form.
To embark on a yourney without presedence!
