Twas Poem by Nestor David Armas

Twas

Every shape in every cloud
Every dream screams of you loud,
Never knew such a yearning
A feeling of longing,
A face to miss
Memories strong as this,
Find me in my mind
To the rest of the world blind,
Time still, time spilt
Earth uneven on tilt,
Fires yield embers
September through Decembers,
Like bubbles through the years
Never revealing the truths of my fears,
So many people coming and going
None worth a minute past knowing,
Feel the warmth fading
No more timber to feed the thoughts evading,
Always you in the grey matter
Always former never latter,
Of what once was
Or might be, still be, twas...
