Twilight Poem by John Sensele

Twilight

Twilight twinkles over a territory
Embroiled in feuds
With neighbours in its land inventory
Skewed towards gangrenous goods.

Twilight twinkles and blinks
Eyes and thighs
Masked in mundane clinks
Of glasses, poisoned chalices and somber skies.

Twilight twinkles dim light
Over a nation
With a passion to fight
To preserve taut tension.

Twilight teases tricks
Unleashed by dogs
Of war whose clicks
Sink into blue bogs, bleary eyed blogs and cunning clogs.
