Twin Babes Poem by Lloyd Savage

Twin Babes

She tucked her babes
And kissed their cheeks
She told 'em how much she loved 'em
As she went off to catch some winks
With l'il angels watch'n 'bove them!
They dreamed of a yonder far off land
Of fantasies and fairies;
Lovely flowers oh so grand
And a love she kindly carries!
She'll awake again the 'morrow there
To find them lying, sleeping
Beside her in the angel's care,
Their faces-unrevealing!
