Two And Two Together

The Ancients of Italy
watched the billows rise
soon after Orion, for the winter,
disappeared below the sea.

Tribute for winter's risen billows
they gave to under-cover mischief-maker he.

That the guy of the Twos
was actually Aeolus,
the Ancients couldn't credit,
or chose not to see.
