Two Hundred Feet Poem by jho argote

Two Hundred Feet

two hundred feet
two hundred feet and it'll all be over
two hundred feet and I'll be gone
just one step
one step
soon I'll be flying
soon I'll be on my back...
two hundred feet below me
the people
the people that thought of me as a failure
the people that thought i was weak
too weak to control my emotions
if they could only see me now
now
now that the wind is at my back
and the sun is upon my face
life's too short
love's too blind to care...
so this is how it feels
the moment when tears fail you
the moments when tears run dry before they can even flow...
so ends my story
the heartless lullaby fades
i took the step.
i closed my eyes.
two hundred feet.
