The rich Don Boasted:
I am most worthy!
Without my money,
Wouldn't you be sorry?
The nursemaid boasted:
I am more worthy!
If the world doesn't have me,
Your children, will you ever see?
The carpenter boasted:
I AM more worthy!
Without homes and tables,
In living, will you ever be able?
The priest stood
(But didn't say he was worthy)
I teach all to follow the right way
That's why there are fewer criminals today.
The teacher stood proudly
Am I not worthy?
I teach young children
To be nurses, carpenters, and businessmen!
The baker spoke lastly
And he said rather shyly:
Who makes your bread, cakes, and pies?
Wasn't it I?
