Two Idioms

'Never speak without something to say'
is license to
as no-one can.
If you speak from an early age,
you'll learn to do so with discretion.
You who aren't allowed to,
make up for lost time later.
I wish your folks had never told you,
'Don't speak until you're spoken to! '
