Two Men On The Cross Poem by Randy McClave

Two Men On The Cross

Two other men on the cross
With Jesus were to die,
Their death was no great loss
As the Roman's did laugh and mock and did cry.
What was each of their crime
When they were crucified,
When, 'Death' the Romans did all chime
As they hung at Jesus's side.
Was they either a political zealot
Or maybe even a terrorist,
Or maybe they were gay when caught
As they hung by their wrist.
Maybe they were transgender
Or maybe they were an adulterer,
What kind of crime or offender
Was they to either him and or to her.
One of the thief's that was dying
And he said unto the Lord Jesus,
If you are the Christ he blasphemed while crying
Save yourself and then also us.
Then the other thief then cried
From his soul the truth did come,
He then said to Jesus before he died
'Remember me when you come into your kingdom'.
Was the thief a transgender or gay
Or was he a murderer or an illegal immigrant,
Did he never worship or even pray
Or did animals he did illegally hunt.
The Romans hated and crucified them all
Even the Lord Jesus Christ,
Then Jesus said to the thief the sinner the Romans did call
'Today! you will be with me in paradise'.
