UFOs / Dinosaurs: a Paper
There's no such thing as [maned] flying saucers;
Neither any dinosaurs, as far as that matters.
‘Tis only man that provides UFO sway,
Been that way decades - more so even today.
Like, when in Roswell 1947, July
Local news: "…an alien died…." spread awry,
Actually was a surveillance balloon
That crashed on a New Mexico sand dune!
Scores of sightings since have been reported;
Thus, fact and fancy have been distorted,
Were lots of Los Fresnos mid-fifties sightings
Per the Brownsville Herald local writings;
And, since late ‘60's, with birth of Ufology,
Texas is a leader in the espy phenomenology.
Most (well, a few now days)true Christians
And a wane number of real theologians,
Know for a fact - earth is ~6000 years old;
Beyond that is heresy - it don't fit the mold.
God created all dinosaur tracks and bone
Was scientists and kids who gave ‘dinos' tone!
God made earth in six 24-hours days
But nary a [live] dinosaur - just its decays.
So, Increased wars, fires, storms, earthquakes;
And, add to those, recent UFO outbrakes,
Are His last day's reminder that mankind
Will no more the earth shall he reside!
He who reads [here] yet no-savvy its word,
Proves to themselves its rhymes are absurd,
‘Til, in death, it fits what his grandma said,
And sees the far shore not the gulf instead!
