Ugly Poem by Reecy M

Ugly

Rating: 4.0

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
But who will behold the eyes that that see
the true reflection of me inside?
The world had corrupt mind into believeing in physical beauty
Something not all can achieve

Instead of accepting how God made us
We strive for impossoble perfection
Striving to look like her
Striving to look like him
Instead of striving to look for the one person
Who will love your imperfections

But why do we do this?

Because as long as he admirers her beauty
As long as she admirers his body
You will compare yourself
Become disheartened
Become destroyed inside
And that that impossible task of becoming perfect
Begins to whisper in your ear

And you begin to strive for that perfection
Blinded by the world
Destined to fail
And to fall
