Unaware Poem by Gee Cii Schnider

Unaware

You rip my heart out over the phone
You're words pierce me for eturnity
You take the side of the one who
makes me cry, silently when no one's watching
I bleed slowly though there's no wound
My voice is quivering but I can't let you know
The tears streaming unlike before
My life feels as though it's fading
dissapearing
Even the unknowing listening voice without name
Says more loving things then you will ever
If you were here you'd stop the tears
Wrap your arms around me
'It's okay' you'd try to whisper in my ear
Lull me to sleep
But you don't know the truth
These tears behind your back
On my knees, hands folded in prayer
Wishing for a true hero to break through the door
to break my solitude
But it won't be you nor anyone
To come free me
So I'll just cry here in loneliness
Surrounded by the music of happiness and dance
While you enjoy yourself, unaware
