Unbreakable -Acd - Poem by Andrew Degen

Her eyes
like a sparkling forest
the first leaf as green as the last
as I gaze in them
upon her face as vibrant as the sun shines
the glow she gives brightens every day I cannot see light
as she looks at me
and smiles
she says those words like they were meant to be spoken
gentle toned
as a novel might seem
is her motivation
her desire
forever lasting
hand in hand
with the one she seeks
to be her sunlight when none arises
to hold her when a blanket tears apart
to mend what was broken many times over
and again
but yet she remains fixed
cracks are filled
as I hold her tight
giving warmth
a blanket that will never tear
an unbreakable heart
I give
one to be held on to
as hers is mine
hopes and dreams become reality
slowly as our thoughts progress
as I stop to think
just think of that one thought
of what we have become
what I could have not imagined happened
for what I sought all these years
was her
my one and only
the most amazing woman
one for me to hold
to cherish
one that will say........
I do
