Unceasing Love... Poem by Sharon Smith

In the winter morn..sensorium..oh captured..
the warmth would embrace every 'frost bitten' bone
Seeping through my layers..devouring that chill..
As a child..did I realize I was never alone?

The fragrance of bread that captures my senses..
whilst the doves cooing softly..their dawn's sweet hello..
As a child I'm embraced by the world at this moment..
and could melt into all..this heaven spawned melow

How the magic went forth..as a blast from each breath..
The frost..it would dance for the sun to behold..
and the dew..how it shone..as a diamond sprinkled land..
as I would breathe in........now, that Time growing old.

I close my eyes and I'm there again..
I loved You even then my Beloved so True..
as You showed me that morn..through eyes of Pure Love..
in a youthful heart..kept me so close to You

How great is this Love that seeps through my soul..
to the point of dissolve..it has humbled my way..
I loved You then as I love You now..
In my heart..forever..You will always stay.
