Unchained Poem by Lindsey Calvert

Unchained

Slave girl unchained yesterday
sings an unchained melody
Freedom tastes so honey sweet
Dancers rock the drumming beat

She is breathing freedoms air
Free from sorrow
Free from care

Far above her, flying free
Birds whirl in Autumns ecstacy
