Sounds echo off the walls,
And through these empty halls.
And I can't breathe.
The silence,
In these empty rooms,
You know it just consumes,
and reminds me that you're gone.
My life keeps rearranging,
but one thing stands unchanging
My name upon yours,
Hidden behind closed doors,
Written when we were young.
A love so innocent,
To me, those names meant,
The world.
All trace of you is gone,
But the names we had drawn.
And I can't help but wonder,
Did you forget them?
Or leave them as a promise,
That you will come back?
A very interesting question Megan. I think this is one that has no answer though. You really put a lot of emotion in this. A 10+++++. Love & hugs, Barbara
