Uncle Do You Remember - Poem by Jennifer Cramer

Promise, long forgotten
Lies told unknown
Uncle do you remember?
Little girl dreams
Twinkle in her eyes
Uncle can you see it?
Life moved on
Years went by
Uncle did you forget her?
Waiting, hoping
Believing he still remembers
Uncle why?
A man who used to keep promised
Loving, caring became greed, lies
Uncle why did you change?
Broken heart
Crushed dreams
Uncle what did you do?
Left behind
Lied told
Uncle I miss you…
Watching from the side
To afraid to get hurt again
Uncle I forgive you…
Promise, a lie
She never forgot
Uncle… do you remember?
