Her crime crashed and thrashed
Smacked into the molten moon
A hundred ideas swung
Under sundays fur
The long walk home
Where needles spoke in the hallway
Where we leapt inside a century
And sang with the asteroid in the sink
To get to where my father fought
Within make-believe walls
My mechanical palm
Pressing love into a new silver miracle
To get to the place
where my father fought
And clung to Mother Mary
Returned she flinched and
laughed and left again
To bane of the buried earth in shutters.
(That noise from the hallway..
Was it a robotic peach?)
