Undercover Love Poem by Marissa Wheeler

Undercover Love

This shouldn't be me
This should be her
That poor girl
Just tell me what you prefer
You told me you loved her,
I accepted it, I did
I love someone too
But these urges I can't rid
You're perfect in my eyes
Way better than my ex
I never thought I would ever
move on to the next
But you love this girl
And I love this guy
But these urges we have
They're so hard to hide
You know I want you
And I know you want me
But it's like we're shackled to these people
Why can't we be free
We talk
We laugh
We have a little fun
But once those people need us we turn and we run
We're in love with other people
But we're feeling each other too
But my beautiful secret lover
This is something we can't do
