Don't drowned yourself in loneliness
Don't get swept away by hopelessness

Don't lose yourself within
Just because you don't have a friend

You see light shining bright
Piercing the darkness of the night
You reached out your hand
And now I understand

Listen to me now
And I'll explain how
I saw you in the dark
I looked deep inside your heart

I saw something deep inside
That was hidden far behind
Covered by the pain over the years
Covered by hurt of unshed tears

I saw the kindness beneath
Underneath that shield that you keep
I touched your heart
