He is so wonderful;
His heart so beautiful.
He has never failed me;
and never would He, I know.
He's always on my side;
banishing my direst worries and fears.
He's my strength and hope.
How cares He for my vain self;
like a mother hen cares for her tiny chicks.
Yet, He chastens my waywardness;
like a father chastens His wayward son.
The light of His love is so dazzling;
that death's sting fled in fear.
Aye, He loves me a-plenty;
and with his life blood purchased he my freedom.
Be thou blessed, Lord Jesus;
for indeed, your love is undying.
