Unfaithful Eyes Poem by Victoria Keret

Unfaithful Eyes

He stares into my eyes
I don't know if he can see
That I can see his soul
Looking at me

I don't mean to
but I always end up near him
He just happens to be in the same place
I don't mean to
But some how I attract him

When I'm near him he smiles
And I forget the rain
All the cuts I have left
When I can't bear the pain

When I'm near him
My heart skips a beat
Sometimes it hurts
But I'm sure it could have been worst

Healing the pain
Is all he has gained
To bring my broken hearted peaces
together again

I do not wish to love him
It was never meant to be
But for some weird reason
My heart always skips a beat

The problem is that I love him
And my boyfriend that I have known for more
My heart will never belong as it does to yours

But how can I be faithful?
When he comes with his blue eyes
I see his soul while he looks for mine

After a few seconds
I blush and smile
Because I can't look that much
into his unfaithful eyes

When I'm near him I forget I have a boyfriend
I forget I shouldn't betray
Because when I'm with him
Everything is lost in the sea of space
