Unhappiness Poem by Raymond Farrell

Unhappiness

Rating: 5.0

Unhappiness
Is it a state of mind
A state of soul
A flavor of the moment
By times whimsical
Yet annoying
Like a light teasing breeze
Blowing your papers onto the floor
Or hard hitting
As a solid left hook
To the diaphragm
Leaving you breathless
With your guts aching
Or a constant chronic
Nagging gnawing ulcer
That comes from being trapped
In the same old, same old
You have grown to hate
It is
Getting what you wished for
It is not
Getting what you wished for
Why for you, is not for me
But on this we can agree
We have experienced it.
