Unique Feature Poem by Dowell Oba

Unique Feature

I noticed you from an observable position
In the face of that great lecture
It turned out to be a distraction
I couldn't help but gaze at your unique feature.

I was so determined to know you
Thought of a possible way
And decided to approach you
But meditated on it and had to pray.

I just had to take my chance
But didn't want to lose that opportunity
Though I was lost in a trance
For my yearning had reached a certain propensity.

I had to dismiss thoughts of failure
And encourage thoughts of succeeding
For your unique feature was there to lure
My eyes in a state of longing.

Approaching you was so glossy
For you gave me those wonderful smiles
If I had known it would be that rosy
I wouldn't have gone through so much miles.
