Hopelessly lost I was
When he came to seek for me
For love and compassion for a lost child
He stood and defended my course
To take the reproach away from me
He endured humiliation and shame
To relief me from pain and illness
He was severally scorched mercilessly
That I might live and not die
He was nailed painfully to death
That I might not see condemnation at last
He descended into hell for three long days
That I might dwell with him forever
Gloriously He arose with the kingdom's key.
