Unnotable Poem by Shirow Walker

Unnotable

Our love was not more than love
Extraordinary or out of the ordinary
Note worthy or otherwise more
It was forgiving
It was plain and unmistaken
Enough for just a nibble, but not a bite

It was a cracked and weathered vase
A surviving thunderstruck tree
History obvious and written
Steeped in odd comforting familiarity
A sad song with no good ending
A poem, un-rhyming and poorly written
