Unnoticed Poem by Ragy Sandid

Unnoticed

Good morning, sunshine
Caught you on my radar
I wondered if you're fine
And still traveled far

Got a busy morning
But I'll willingly detach
Those idiotic strings
Undo the bolt and latch

I will no longer accuse
I'll give a sigh to care
I'll follow your best news
I'll tag you hope not despair

I'll dub you what I did before
A friend before mixed mesh
We'll dig for memory's shut door
And give it its longest ever stretch

Have you noticed we've been away?
In a forest of feelings just lost?
Did we promise we're here to stay?
Or pledge allegiance to the culture of cost?

Now we see each other as concepts
We grapple with reality to make it real
Yet neither will dare this shadow's footsteps
As we feel then deny what we feel

I just thought I'd say hello
And in these words you and I stay
Maybe one day we'll just let go
And just regret the sacrifices we made
And just regret the lambs we lay
The lambs we lay
The lambs we lay
