Unquenched Thirst Poem by mamutty CHOLA

Unquenched Thirst

Rating: 5.0

I have relation always with autumn in life
In every birth my fate has been of deprivation
I find solace in the vast empty desert in life
Darkness of the night that too in the Amavas
-Pitched darkness
Whenever I happen to pass by withered garden
I hear cry of thorns similar to my unfortunate fate
Yesterday's cruel tsunami destroyed all trees
I worry where the unfortunate birds will shelter
For ages my residence has been abode of darkness
There were light everywhere except my abode
Gave shelter to darkness for a night
I was searching in restlessness that tree
Which would shade us from scorching sun
After ages received a letter from my lost love
When opened found blank; told her tale of pang
The thirst for love will never be quenched in life
Many came before and got drown still unquenched
Thirst remains.
