Unrequited Poem by Ana Liza Corpuz Nabor

Unrequited

Vividness of his countenance, like
Ashes blown by a fleeting wind which dissipates; unseen
Lovingly she stare at him just a moment, then
Evading her for it is forbidden.
Numbly she let ache penetrate her whole,
Keeking desperately, in his eyes she found ease
Austerity of this beau, how she cherish like silver or gold
Resting in his arms with serenity; smiling brutely when suddenly
"Liza! Wake up! You're dreaming again." Silence..... It's her mother.
