I gaze at the night sky full of stars
Wondering if God is there,
Beyond the bars of Earth and space.
Who is the one who transcends time and space
Who is not bound by tense and change,
Who has no trace?
Does He dwell in the realm of eternity
Unaffected and timeless,
Or does he inhabit the stream of the past
Affected and temporal?
The stars around me shine and blink
They tell me that time is relative,
Not what I think,
But how can He relate to me at this point
If he is not present in this joint?
I wonder if he foresees my past and future
If he knows my memories and plans,
My origin and end,
Or is He ignorant of my fate
Unaware and uncertain,
Just like how I feel at this moment?
My desire to know Him
grows stronger
Just as I desire to reach those starts above.
But how can I reach him in this distance,
If he is beyond my sense?
I guess, I just need to bring myself down
Think only about what is within the reach of my mind,
For if He is really beyond and outside everything,
Then what I can only do now
Is to trust Him.
I trust that he will reveal himself to me
That he will show me his power and wisdom
That he will guide me to his will and purpose
That he will meet me in his kingdom.
