Even when the miles between us are long,
The love between us grows strong.
In the long run our time apart seems short
All we can do is show each other support.
Soon I’ll be back in your loving arms
Back at home all safe and warm.
We’ll keep in touch, growing closer still.
After this obstacle, it’s all downhill.
There’s so much of each other we still need to learn
We must be patient until I return.
I call when I can, to hear your voice.
Because when I left I had no choice.
Remembering your smile and how much you care,
Longing and waiting, until I am with you there.
