Until The End -1969 Poem by John Mackinnon

Until The End -1969

Until the end..

Until the end I will submit
These tears of tiny observation shed
Beneath one vast unending sky,
The laughter of a life I led,
The sadness of a last goodbye.
That I may make some sense of it,
I penned what I was briefly shown
And found my pencilled place in time
In which all open hands had sown
A simple soul invading line.
Let all who will, dispense with it,
The seed may yet become the vine.
