gouge out every memory I have of you
so I can tie them up with lace
using them to redecorate the walls
so i can hide the pictures away from me
as not to burn my eyes
are you happy that you have pulled my insides out
so I can hang them on the wall
painting the nicest picture
that cannot be erased
Your beauty blacks my eyes
cut my heart from beating scars
as these hearts are the difference
between me and you
layed me down upon a bed of ashes
that fell from broken foundations
in my head where angels once said
Free yourself, free your mind
free yourself, as you are captured
pull out my eyes of a perfect vision
cut through my heart
with words made of ribbon
your words wore me down to the bone
and in this moment my heart collapsed
you smashed it apart
everything you hold in your heart is frail
everything you love will pass away
it will perish like ashes in the wind
