Untitled Poem by M. Rose Davis

Rating: 5.0

I hold you tight,
Trying to easy your pain.
I can’t help but remember,
You held me this way.

Gazing down at you,
Knowing you’re leaving.
Praying for you to fight,
For I wish you could stay.

I kiss you goodbye,
Your job here is done.
It’s time for you to go,
I watch you slip away.
