Untitled Poem by Paula A. Vaughn

Untitled

I had a dream last night.
i was walking all alone.
The I noticed the street
was made of pure gold. Then I saw a blooming tree
beside a crystal lake.
The beauty I beheld
made a breath so hard to take. Then I saw Cherubims
around my Savior's throne.
My heart rejoiced because I knew
I was finally home. Then I ran toward Him,
and fell down at His feet.
I could not speak a word,
all I could do was weep. And when I awoke I felt so sad,
for I wanted to return.
Then I heard my Saviors' voice,
He said, "My child, your job is not yet done."
