Untitled (4) Poem by Jason Summers

Untitled (4)

What am I supposed to say?
I get overwhelmed by your words of responsibility
When 'I should' do this, 'I should' do that.
I'll just step out of the way.

I'll just step out of the way.
Discontinue my progress for your needs
Indeed, your needs are stronger than mine.
Telling me my mistakes overrule yours at this time.

Telling me my mistakes overrule yours at this time.
I have much bigger obligations.
How bad are your crimes?
Tell me about your past life.

Tell me about your past life.
You know just about, if not all of me.
Who are you to tell me what to do?
You're probably worse off than I.

You're probably worse off than I.
Getting stoned, 'Ya wanna get high, ya wanna get high.'
And you talk about responsibility, I know what I have to take care of.
I know what I'm supposed to say.
F*** You!
